Some people think individuals cannot do anything to make the environment different, others think they can. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Climate
change
, pollution, and loss of biodiversity are themes that are major concerns nowadays. In the
last
few years, we have assisted in a rising number of strikes and manifestations to sensibilize public opinion about
this
problem. Many would say that our lifestyle is ruining the planet Earth. Even if we are clearly responsible for
this
phenomenon, it is often discussed if we are able to make a significant
change
and help to solve
this
issue. In
this
essay, I'll try to find the answer to
this
complex question.
According to
a part of the population, it is the task of governments to overcome
this
situation. Politics should intervene with laws to stop mass production from destroying the environment. From their point of view, we as individuals have too small of an impact on pollution and, so, we can do nothing to help our planet to preserve the ecosystem. Even if I don't share their opinion, I think that they are partially right. In fact, most part of the damage is made by factories and not by families. Opposite to their point of view, there is a huge amount of people who ask everyone to make a personal effort to reduce the impact. They propose a lot of different ways we can help to contain the issue. To sustain their ideas there is the belief that our choices can trigger
change
. In fact, a greener lifestyle would require a more responsible production system.
As a consequence
, the industry will shift towards less polluting materials and procedures, In my opinion, we must be part of the
change
. Our daily contribution could be essential to saving the environment. But, at the same time, it is necessary for an action by the leaders of our nations to speed up the process.
