, the linear process is divided into 4 major stages. Farming, Crushing, Heating and Drying.
the first step is
to grow sugarcane. it takes about 12 to 18 months for this
crop to become ripe.after
this
period of time, the crop is harvested either with the help of machines or by farmers themselves. the usage of machinery might be efficient but when farmers harvest it, they remove every single leaf and then
cut the canes.
Shortly afterwards, the canes are run through the mill to get the juice out. later on, the juice is passed through a limestone filter for purification. the filtered solution is then
passed on to the evaporator so the water from the juice is extracted which will make the syrup more concentrated. then
the syrup is sent to a centrifuge and is spun at high speed which separates the sugar crystals and syrup.in the end the crystals are dried out and cooled off for human use.Submitted by anishakumarileemani on
