The maps below show the changes experienced by the town of Harton at the beginning of the 21st Century. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where necessary.
Presented is the map exhibiting the changes to the town of Lakeside over a 9-year course commencing 2000.
As transparent from the map, the town experienced considerable changes during the period shown. The most noticeable differences between the two maps are the expansion of the industrial complex and the disappearance of the residential
area
.
As can be seen from the maps, from 2000 to 2009 the housing area
and the schools in the northwest of Lakeside remained unchanged. In addition
, a small car park was erected on the original site of the Derelict warehouses and the old town next to these warehouses was also
knocked down to make room for a triangular area
of the offices and a university. Meanwhile, on the left-hand side of the river, the residential area
and the arts centre nearby were demolished, replaced by the shopping centre and the new multi-screen cinema.
On the opposite, about half of the woodland area
was cut down and the residential area
in the north of Lakeside was also
destroyed to make way for the huge extension of the industrial complex. At the same period, the lake at the beginning of the river was also
narrowed into a small pond.Submitted by hihihahahoho on
