Some people think that paying tax is their only duty, while others believed that we have more responsibilities towards society. Discuss both sides and give your opinion.

Paying tax is something which is mandatory for an Indian
citizen
. There are people who argue that paying taxes,is the only thing that the
citizen
should offer to their country. At the same time, there are individuals who opine that there are several things beyond providing remuneration to the
government
. In
this
essay, I will discuss both sides of the argument and will explain my support for the latter one. On the one hand, there are individuals who argue that we are providing a certain amount as a tariff to the
government
so,it is their responsibility to maintain the road, health, hygiene etc for the society,so there is no role for the citizens in it. Apart from all these ,what they are trying to convey is there are certain duties for each and everyone,in the world,so we should not bother about things which are beyond our
duty
.
Moreover
, it is society, that makes the
government
capable of doing needed things in an effective manner. These statements are by the people who oppose the concept of engaging in social work.
On the other hand
,there are individuals who oppose the above statements. As members of the country, it is our
duty
to maintain and help in social work.Apart from these, we should try to engage in swach bharat and in various movements organised by the
government
. Of course, it is our
duty
to pay taxes but it doesn't mean that our
duty
is over as a
citizen
. At least, we should try our own personal property. In conclusion,
it is clear that
as a
citizen
our duties are never-ending. If you are a person who stands with the first statement, it shows how selfish you are. We are equally responsible to our society.
