Unhealthy eating has a negative effect on both individuals and the society in which they live. Some people think that the government should tax unhealthy foods while others believe that a “fat tax” is unfair and unnecessary. Discuss both these views and give your opinion

There is no doubt that junk
foods
are unhealthy and may even cause diseases but now most of the individuals are attracted to unhealthy fast
foods
. To reduce these trends many people suggest that the government should impose a tax on these. At the same time, there are individuals who totally oppose
this
. In
this
essay, I will discuss both sides of the argument and will extend my support for the latter view.
Firstly
, During ancient times most individuals were engaged in farming and other related activities which are done in fields or in patches of land which is very close to their houses.
Moreover
, women were only allowed to do household work and farming activities, which means they were not allowed to study,
as a result
,they were having enough time in performing household activities like cooking, cleaning, washing etc. But when comes to the present scenario all these past routine has changed drastically as humans started giving more importance to their career which makes them busy. As they don't have enough time for cooking and related duties they started depending on unhealthy
foods
there are
also
several websites that offer home delivery which makes the process easy for them.
However
, imposing tax may not be a good solution as it will definitely affect the society who depend upon these
foods
. Apart from these, it is the duty of people to take care of their health and their loved ones too , so paying penalties doesn't seems good
instead
the government can bring up several awareness programmes related to
this
that may help in reducing the usage and will obviously make them health conscious.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
