You have discovered a lot of rubbish in a lake near where you live. In the past, the lake had always been clean. Write a letter to the local council. In the letter: · describe the type of rubbish that you saw in the lake · explain where you think the waste has come from · suggest what the council should do about the problem
Dear Sir,
I am writing to inform you that I have unhappy about the recent visit to Humber
Lake
. I am a regular visitor to the lake
in summer, enjoying the beautiful scenery and spending my weekends along
with my family. Recently, I have found a lot of garbage floating near the west side of the Change preposition
apply
lake
and causing a rotten smell in the nearby area and I would like to bring this
to your immediate attention.
I can find more plastic cups and bottles which come from the nearby shop
that has recently opened during the summer. Even though, the shop
provides excellent services to people coming to the lake
by providing refreshment drinks, since there are not enough garbage bins near the store people throw the waste into the lake
.
If the city council install more garbage bins around the shop
and keeps advertisement boards about littering in the lake
would help a lot to overcome this
issue. Also
, recommending the shop
switch to paper products would be the ideal long-term solution.
I would appreciate your immediate attention on this
matter. Thanking you in advance.
Yours faithfully,
