Some students choose to attend universities in their home town while others choose to study outside their town. Does the demerits outweighs the merit

It is true that some pupils decide to attend higher institutions within their vicinity
while
others choose to study in a far place. I strongly believe that the advantages are more than the disadvantages.
Firstly
, schooling within one proximity has great advantages
such
as a good security level.
For example
, the parents take their children to school in the morning and pick them up after school which will protect
such
kids from any external harm.
In addition
, there's good parental control as he will be under his parent's guidance and he will be duly cared for.
For instance
, financially he will be satisfied and the juvenile will be directed in making decisions.
However
, studying outside one's home gives the opportunity to meet new people from different places and make new friends with diverse personalities including cultures as
this
will broaden their knowledge about other people's lives and beliefs.
Furthermore
, it increases their creativity level in the sense that they're opportune to see and visit many interesting centres with good scenic views which in turn trigger their participation to learn new things.
For example
, a visit to a museum could influence
such
a child to become an artist.
Lastly
, it brings about early independence as the youth will have to travel alone and take care of themselves and think about what to do, where to go and what to wear.
In addition
, it
also
gives room for them to think about their future and start to make necessary arrangements. To sum it up, I think schooling outside one's comfort zone promotes good thinking ability and helps to meet new personalities across the world
while
its demerit reduces knowledge of things around them which does not give room to explore.
