The line graph shows a clear difference in the patterns of the annual proceeds over a ten-year period, between three bakeries, in the country in question. The vertical axis represents the yearly income in units of $20000. The horizontal axis represents the period between 2000 and 2010. By far, the gap between the three is particularly noticeable from 2000 to 2003 and between 2008 and 2010, with the highest difference of profits in 2010: the Amandine Bakery registered an income of $100000, compared with just above $60000 and exactly $40000 for the Bolo Cakery and the Mari Bakeshop respectively. It is noteworthy that there were considerable upward trends in the earnings of both Bolo Cakery and Amandine Bakery over the years: as far as it concerned the former’s income, it started at $20000 in 2000 before increasing slightly less than twofold over the next three years, at which point it levelled off at just under $40000 until 2006;
then
the figure went up significantly, finishing at around $65000 in 2010. As regards the latter one, it hold fairly steady from 2000 to 2005 and
finally
rose sharply, reaching nearly $100000 in 2008.
By contrast
, the revenue stream of Mari Bakeshop saw a considerable fall over the period in question: takings fluctuated around $90000 until 2004; after that, despite falling sharply to just over $40000 in 2008, the figure
then
levelled off in the
last
two years.
