A museum near your home is looking for people to do part-time voluntary or unpaid work. You would like to do some voluntary/ unpaid work at the museum. Write a letter to the museum director to apply for the voluntary/ unpaid work. In your letter • explain why you want to do voluntary/ unpaid work at the museum • describe some skills and qualities you have that would be useful • give details of when you would be available for work

Dear sir, I write to apply for unpaid work at the
Museum
. My name is Anne Bridgeton. I saw your adverts at the gate of the
museum
on my way home. The reason for
this
intention is to have more experience working in a
museum
because I have a lot of interest in the study of history and Culture.
Furthermore
, I'm highly skilled in customer service which I gained from my
last
experience.
Also
, I love to meet new people and talk about history and Culture so
this
will be quite easy. The fact that I have background knowledge in the historical things because of my natural interest in it you need a job very understandable.
However
, I am only available to work for seven hours on Fridays from 9 am to 4:30 pm. I usually have a family engagement on Saturday evening but I am available before the engagement from 10 am to 2 pm. I would love to walk in the
museum
. I look forward to hearing from you Yours Faithfully, Rugi Badgyal

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
