Some people say that it is not possible to be happy without money, while others think that money does not guarantee happiness. Discuss both these views and give your opinion.

Does
money
buy happiness or not?
This
has always been an interesting topic to discuss. The population is divided into two categories,
firstly
the ones who believe
money
gives happiness and is the ultimate luxury in
life
whereas
the other category insists that it does not give you
joy
. Let us consider the first set of
people
who say "Wealth is directly proportional to one's happiness". I would like to quote an example of an acquaintance of mine who has been raised like a rich-spoilt brat. She feels that
money
can get you anything and everything, including a person's love which is said to be the most valuable thing to a person. To date she doesn't even know who's being fake towards her and neither does she care. Her obsession with wealth has made her forget the minute essences of
life
. Few
people
are the average middle-class ones whose lives depend upon the income and
money
they make, for them yes I do accept it is important and
also
at the same time they do celebrate
life
. The other half of the crowd says "Revenue does not assure the
joy
in
life
". I accept
this
statement to a certain extent. Most folk who come under
this
category are multi-millionaires, superstars, politicians etc. I would like to give an example of a South Korean boy band who have worked very hard and are rags to riches now, and are an inspiration to the community. They have reached every level of success, and have lots of riches, fame and everything they could ever ask for.
However
, they do lack something
that is
available to any common man i.e., privacy. They do not have something as basic as that and are stalked everywhere, they are continuously being monitored and targeted by crowds/media even for their slightest mistake. What is the point of having all the funds if it does not guarantee you a peaceful day and always have to be wary of your surroundings?
This
happens to more than half of the influential
people
on the planet. Apart from all of
this
, you'll never know who's being true to you or trying to be pretentious. These are some of the issues which they face. In conclusion, I would say funds are important as they are a necessity, but for ,me
that is
not the only source of
joy
. But
people
these days started giving more importance to
money
and forgetting all the little things that give us true
joy
and meaning in
life
.
