Overall
, we can clearly see that from 2001 to 2011 more people started to cycle to work in the UK. Especially in the main cities,
such
as Manchester, Bristol, Brighton and
above all
London. In the United Kingdom, in the stretch of ten years, the number of people who cycled to their jobs increased significantly. In areas like Inner London and Brighton, the number even doubled, reaching 144% in the capital and 109% in the coastal city.
This
mainly has to do with the convenience of not having to use the car in certain parts.
However
, I have to point out that the area where the percentage change was less important is Outer London, only 45%.
Although
the figures still went from 33,836 to 49,070.
