A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

Looking back at history, it is clear that over time public attention has deviated from arts to subjects such as science, technology and business. While there are some sensible positive effects of this trend, l believe that the encouragement of using public transport can be a great way to tackle that issue effectively.

It is believed that the population reduction in the countryside caused by city migration is not good for the sustainability of the left hometown. In my opinion, however, this phenomenon poses positive influences because rural people can push better competition in the job markets and when they are successful, they tend to give back to their villages.
