Write a letter to your local council to tell him that the road in front of your house is damaged. In your letter include a.Tell him your name and where you are living b.Describe the problem c.Tell him what you want him to do for you

Hi  Dear Sir, My name is Ekjot and I am living at 150 Skaha Place, Penticton, BC. Today, I am writing to inform you that the road in front of my house is broken.  It is very hard for all people to drive throughout. Actually, it is not only difficult to drive on that road but it
also
leading some health issues too because
due to
its damage, nearby water collects into it and it catches dirty flies and mosquitoes which
further
attack folks. I want you to fix
this
issue as soon as possible by reconstructing that path. I hope you understand my problem and will take steps on it. Sincerely,

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 150 words in writing task 1. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long letter will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 160 to 190 words in writing task 1. This will ensure a concise letter and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 20 minutes to write the letter and you need around 5 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long letter in 15 minutes.
