There is a strong view that training of work is more important than broad education. To what extent you agree with this?

On-the-
job
training and courses have become increasingly popular nowadays.
Although
some occupations require a certain level of higher
education
degrees, some
people
believe that work-specific training is essential. I partly agree that some jobs necessitate a certain level of
education
prior to the hiring process and that
this
can vary depending on the profession and area. Training on the
job
and continuous professional development have been widely incorporated in various
job
sectors which gives flexibility to many
people
to learn and earn a living simultaneously.
This
is because it provides opportunities for individuals who have not had a higher
education
certificate to learn different skills, climb the career ladder and
also
get decent pay in return.
For instance
, some administrative jobs require a certain awareness of computer skills for which employers offer specialized courses for candidates to learn and upgrade their knowledge every certain amount of months to stay up-to-date.
While
this
can be significantly expensive for employers, it can be a great incentive for
people
to learn and get paid for the
job
. Some
job
sectors have a strict higher
education
certificate policy.
Furthermore
, a certain level of learning might be needed prior to starting certain jobs as these occupations can be wide and a certain type of knowledge can be crucial for various reasons.
For example
, medicine can be extremely demanding and to work as a doctor, it is important to complete over four years of learning before commencing the
job
.
Consequently
, not having a degree before starting professionally does not necessarily mean that a person cannot learn whilst working.
However
, I believe
this
entirely depends on the
job
sector involved. In conclusion, the world is constantly changing and the need for staff across multiple areas is consistently rising even though some individuals find it more convenient to earn a living
while
learning, it is still essential for different sectors to have a degree requirement rather than to learn on the
job
. But, looking at the
last
decade and to fill in the gaps in employment, would the governments implement initiatives in the future to allow
people
to earn higher degrees
while
working?
