Some people feel that manufacturers and supermarkets have the responsibility to reduce the amount of packaging of goods. Others argue that customers should avoid buying goods with a lot of packaging. Discuss both views and give your opinion. Sample band 8:

As the world's temperature is rapidly increasing and the
use
of
goods
with packaging is undoubtedly one of the major causes of
this
ongoing problem,
therefore
, I personally agree that both statements are correct in their own aspects.
In other words
, I believe that, to solve
this
issue, the
manufacturers
, the
supermarkets
, and the
customers
are all responsible to tackle
this
issue altogether by putting their best effort and cooperation in the reduction of the
use
of those packaging
products
. First of all, in order to achieve our goal of reducing the
use
of packaging
goods
, it cannot be denied that the involvement of the parties relating to the production process,
such
as the
manufacturers
and the
supermarkets
, is a very crucial part of it.
For example
, if there are fewer packaging
products
being produced by the
manufacturers
or used by the
supermarkets
,
then
there will definitely be fewer packaging
products
being purchased by the
customers
. In
this
regard, I am of the opinion that the producing and selling parties should focus and invest more in their research and development in order to find a way to make their packaging more friendly to the environment. Even though, in the beginning, it might incur their cost of production, it certainly will in return be beneficial to their reputation and help them succeed in their business in the long run. As explained in
this
paragraph, I
therefore
totally agree that it is an undeniable responsibility of the
manufacturers
and the
supermarkets
to reduce the number of packaging
goods
in their own capacity. Apart from the above, the
customers
as the purchasing party are
on the other hand
another key element to accomplish the aim of lessening the
use
of packaging
products
.
This
is because the supply from the sellers will not come without the demand from the
customers
.
As a result
, I am positive that if the majority of
customers
refuse to buy any
goods
with a lot of packaging and support the idea of non-packaging
goods
,
then
those manufacturing and selling parties will eventually change their way of production from packaging
products
to non-packaging
products
to correspond with
this
new idea from their
customers
. In conclusion, I entirely agree with both statements since completing the mission of lowering the
use
of packaging
goods
will become unachievable if one or another statement is compromised.
