The maps below show the center of a small town called Islip as it is now, plans for its development. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, make comparisons where relevant.
The given maps illustrate the current appearance of a small
town
centre called Islip and future developments in
this
area.
Overall
, the centre of Islip will have transformed from a rural
town
into an urbanized area in the future with some infrastructures like roads, housing, car parks and bus stations. The north of the city will have a dramatic expansion. The empty areas will be occupied by a new bus station, renewed shops which turned into a shopping centre, a car park and new housing. The Main road between the north and south parts of the township, where cars used to go, will be removed and be available only for pedestrians.
Then
a road for cars will be built around the north and be connected to its current way. The southern part of the
town
, will not experience much reconstruction. The housing in the middle of the
town
will be removed a little bit to the west, near the highway. Park which used to be in the southeast will be shortened and removed next to the new housing. As was in the north part the road in
this
area will be built around too
