The devolopment of tourism contributed to English becoming the most prominent language in the world. Some people think it will lead to English becoming the only language to be spoken. Andvantages and disadvantages.

The improvement of tourism contributed to the
English
language
becoming the most prominent
one
in the world. Some individuals think that it will cause to
English
turn into the only
language
to be spoken globally. I believe that speaking in
one
language
may bring more drawbacks rather than benefits. On the
one
hand, it has a positive influence on society.
This
is because it helps to break
language
barriers. Nowadays it is challenging for the young generation to build good relationships with others. If they just use only
one
language
to communicate with each other, it will give them a chance to get to know everyone.
In addition
to that people who have a good knowledge of
English
have an opportunity to travel and communicate more effectively in so many parts of the world.
This
also
helps them to explore and travel confidently and to learn more about the countries and cultures they visit.
On the other hand
, there are a variety of disadvantages. First of all, the population lose their cultural identity. If everybody talks in the same
language
, nobody wants to learn about other nations. Because they think there is only
one
language
.
As a result
, there is not any difference in culture. Second of all, another con of
that is
language
extinction. Most of the citizens work in other countries which are speaking in
English
. They must speak in
English
at their workplace and
also
at their home. So they forgot their own mother tongue.
To sum up
,
English
becoming the only
language
to be spoken globally has so many cons than pros.

Support ideas with relevant, specific examples

Examples make your writing easier to understand by illustrating points more effectively.

Examples, if used properly, not only help you get higher marks for ‘Task Response’ but also for ‘Coherence’.

When giving examples it is best to put them after your main idea or topic sentence. They can be used in the middle of supporting sentences or they can be used to start a new sentence. There is no rule for where exactly to give examples in essays, logically they would come after your main idea/topic sentence or just after a supporting sentence.

Linking words for giving examples:

  • for example
  • for instance
  • to illustrate this
  • to give a clear example
  • such as
  • namely
  • to illustrate
  • take, for example
