Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The diagram illustrates the way in which
sugar
is produced from
sugar
cane.
Overall
, the
sugar
manufacturing process consists of seven stages, beginning with the growing of
sugar
canes and ending up with the drying and cooling of
sugar
. At the beginning of the process, the
sugar
cane is grown for 12 to 18 months. After that, it comes the harvesting stage, where it is collected by using a special harvesting machine or human force. In the next stage, canes undergo a crushing process where the
juice
is separated from the canes using a crushing machine. After that, to purify the
juice
a limestone filter will be used. In the following phase, the
juice
passes an evaporating step where a heating system will be used to transform
juice
into syrup. Following that, the syrup undergoes a centrifuge where
sugar
crystals are separated from the syrup. In the final phase, the product undergoes a drying and cooling procedure.
