Some people believe that universities are responsible for preparation of young people for employment. Others believe universities have other responsibilities. What do you think about the responsibility of the universities?

In
this
modern world, there is plenty of colleges where many
students
study before getting into

competitive society. Referring to
this
, some individuals argue that graduate schools need to be in charge of preparing
students
for seeking jobs.
However
, others insist that there are responsibilities other than employment for
universities
. In
this
essay, I aim to explain both views and address my opinion. To commence with,
one
of the most important parts of the university is to make pupils ready before they penetrate the real world. They choose
one
of the majors to learn to become specialized in
one
certain field. Eventually,
this
leads them to build a foundation for their career.
For instance
, numerous companies require a certain certificate from school for employment.
As a result
,
students
train, study, and achieve a degree in a college to become a specialist in a certain field
such
as hospitality, or business.
However
, few masses say that there are far more important responsibilities for
universities
. They believe that those schools should teach not only a skill for a career but
also
knowledge for being an adult. To elaborate, these days,
due to
developed technology, people do not need to study in a college,
instead
, they achieve or learn skills online.
Hence
, people say that
universities
exist not just to obtain certain skills, but they can teach pupils to build a small community with friends in the school society.
To conclude
, there are plenty of opinions about the given notion. In my opinion, even though preparing young adults for employment is
one
of the key responsibilities of
universities
, I believe that graduate schools have far more key duties
such
as helping
students
to live as a part of society.

Support ideas with relevant, specific examples

Examples make your writing easier to understand by illustrating points more effectively.

Examples, if used properly, not only help you get higher marks for ‘Task Response’ but also for ‘Coherence’.

When giving examples it is best to put them after your main idea or topic sentence. They can be used in the middle of supporting sentences or they can be used to start a new sentence. There is no rule for where exactly to give examples in essays, logically they would come after your main idea/topic sentence or just after a supporting sentence.

Linking words for giving examples:

  • for example
  • for instance
  • to illustrate this
  • to give a clear example
  • such as
  • namely
  • to illustrate
  • take, for example
