With the development of technology, our lives increasingly rely on the
internet
. In
this
case, some people argue that the
internet
is the most significant invention from ancient to the present,
while
I consider that there are other inventions that lead to more groundbreaking innovations. It is undeniable that the
internet
brings plenty of benefits to human beings. As we know, there are a large number of products that are created on the basis of the
internet
,
such
as Google, AWS service, cloud services, and so on. With
this
, we can break through the obstacles of location. There is evidence that most of us are inevitable to utilize online meetings during the period of covid-19. So convenient is the
internet
that we were able to keep the team working and receive education.
Furthermore
,
due to
the
internet
, engineers can devise artificial intelligence and machine learning which tremendously improve people’s daily.
For example
, Tesla has promoted self-driving cars so that drivers can take advantage of transportation times and avoid fatigued spirits.
As a result
, it cannot overemphasize the importance of the
Internet
.
Nonetheless
, in my opinion, I may argue that electricity is a much more considerable invention compared to the
Internet
. A large proportion of our life, from transportation systems to entertainment, is reliant on electric energy,
such
as cellphones, computers, televisions, and so on. It is so hard to imagine how life will be tough if we lose electric power.
Moreover
, without which over 90% of digital gadgets are useless, and the
internet
is no exception.
Hence
, I would say nowadays, our daily life is on the foundation of electricity. In conclusion,
although
the
internet
indeed contributes tremendous advantages to society, I think that the invention of electricity is the most indispensable in human history.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
