Dear Sr/Madam, I’ve just seen an advertisement looking for volunteers to teach
English
overseas. It’s amazing. Yesterday I search to find some information about education, skills in life, travel…and I see
this
advertisement. I’m so happy when I see that,
as a result
as I am looking for something to challenge myself. I’m just graduated from the University, and my major is
English
. I want to have a gap year to travel, improve my
English
skills, relax, and help some people unlucky. When I study at the University, I join some classes to study
English
for poor children. In
this
class, I help them learn about grammar, vocabulary and speaking.
Besides
that, I joined a group
English
, and we acted at the weekend, at Le Van Tam Park in Ho Chi Minh City. Here, we help to improve our speaking skills together, sometimes in the group have foreigners. They will teach me to speak more confidently. Yours faithfully Mercy Nguyen

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
