The maps underneath describes the changes that have taken place in and around Queen Mary Hospital since its building in 1960 till 2000
These provided maps illustrate the condition of Queen Mary Hospital in three different years, 1960, 1980, and 2000.
Overall
, it can be seen that the buildings have changed around the hospital over various years.
To begin
, in 1960, a Shopping
centre
, Farmland, and Car park were only three buildings around the hospital,
then
; in 1980, the shopping
centre
was removed, and a cancer
centre
and a pharmacy were set up in the location of the shopping
centre
.
In addition
to that, the owner of the hospital bought the Farmland, and it was replaced by a building for the nursing school in its position. But there was not any change in the size and the place of the car park.
Furthermore
, in 2000, it was observed that the size of the cancer
centre
extended at the expense of the nursing school, so; the area of it reduced.
Also
, the size of the car park decreased,
as a result
of widening the area of the cancer
centre
. On top of that the main road remained as it was without any changes.
