Global warming is one of the biggest threats humans face in the 21st Century, and sea levels are continuing to rise at alarming rates. What problems are associated with this and what are some possible solutions.

Beginning from the industrial revolution, greenhouse gases are emitted considerably into the atmosphere which results in global warming. And, its harmfulness varies from sea level rises, inhabited area increases and continuous extreme weather. In the essay, I will discuss problems related and provide some possible solutions. First of all, excessive emission of greenhouse gases,
such
as carbon dioxide and methane, makes it significantly harder for heat to release itself into outer space.
In other words
, thermal energies are locked in Earth,
hence
making our planet hotter and hotter.
Consequently
, icebergs melted, causing the sea levels to increase, and eventually sinking islands were found. Afterwards, extreme weather starts to negatively influence globally. Followed by increasing inhabited areas and environmental disasters, more and more people are forced to leave their hometowns in order to run away from floods, water shortages or forest fires. Obviously, global warming has indeed detrimentally changed the life of humanity. To tackle
this
greatest environmental challenge in the era, sustainable energy is the most important approach. Clean energies,
such
as solar energy and wind power, can be implemented to reduce the emission of carbon dioxide. By cutting the concentration of greenhouse gases, the temperature on Earth can be lowered that ultimately easing the negative effects of global warming.
Although
, sustainable energy is often considered an unstable supply
due to
its dependency on weather conditions.
However
, workaround methods are
also
developed.
For instance
, movable solar panels are invented to conquer the possible cloudy days.
Additionally
, government legislation on reducing fossil fuel and cooperation from international industry
also
helps. Most importantly, consumer behaviour must change and stop over-shopping. Only when citizens in the world see the urgency of global warming and start to act,
then
, potential disasters can be prevented from occurring. foreseeable future.
