Some children spen hours every day on their smartphones. Why is this the case? Do you think this is a positive or a negative development?

In today’s world, the use of
smartphones
is very common, particularly among the young generation. Spending many hours on mobile phones has become a daily routine for some children. In my view,
this
is concerning and can be deemed a negative development
due to
the lack of creativity and potential hindrance in brain development.
This
essay will explore the reasons behind
this
case. Nowadays,
smartphones
play an important role in people's lives. They serve not only as tools of communication but
also
as channels for online exploration. The perspectives on using phones freely vary depending on families and situations. Some parents might give permission to their kids for study purposes only because they could use the internet to find unlimited knowledge regardless of going to school. Others may allow phone usage for entertainment,
such
as watching cartoons on Youtube, as they believe it helps with relaxation. From my perspective, it is essential to recognize the potential drawbacks associated with uncontrolled phone usage. One significant issue is that when children spend more time on phones than going out to play with friends, they may lose social skills, which can lead to problems in their adulthood. Another adverse effect is that excessive phone use might cause health problems. Numerous studies suggest that prolonged screen time can directly impact concentration and memorization, especially in the younger generation who are increasingly reliant on
smartphones
. In conclusion, excessive focus on screens every day can lead to adverse consequences for children.
As a result
, using
smartphones
for specific purposes should be allowed and monitored by parents to ensure their kids spend time online in an appropriate way.
