on one side of the globe can impact people on the other side, it would be best to include global

in the classroom. In support of including global

, there are several reasons. The first is that any event can have a global impact and offer unique learning opportunities.

For instance

, the tsunami that destroyed the nuclear power plant in Fukushima, Japan was an important incident that still has a global impact as the irradiated waters are still flowing in the Pacific Ocean. By teaching about

this

event,

students

can learn many things,

such

as the risks of nuclear energy and geology in how tsunamis are formed. Another aspect of teaching

news

is that

children

become more aware of the

world

and learn about different cultures.

This

can lead to discussions about these cultures and can lead

students

in becoming more tolerant and accepting of those who are from different cultures and backgrounds. There are those who believe that international

news

should not be taught. One reason for

this

is the claim that learning the three important skills – reading, writing, and arithmetic – are more important and should be the sole focus of

children

’s learning.

, they may contend that

children

should learn more about what goes on in their own communities and that they should learn about their own culture and heritage first. The idea is before a child can appreciate another culture, they must first come to appreciate their own. Even so,

and adolescents who have not learned about

may face difficulties in accepting them. By including international

The increased number of poor people lies at the heart of societal concerns. Some argue that one of the vital ways to address this issue is free education for early ages, resulting in a generation who has basic knowledge, such as reading and writing skills.
