Overpopulation of urban areas has led to numerous problems. Identify one or two serious ones and suggest ways that governments and individuals can tackle these problems. Write at least 250 words.

Overpopulation has recently been claimed to bring detrimental effects on people's lives. That typically adds more strains on sources and causes a lack of accommodation. In
this
essay, I will explain several reasons and suggest some solutions to solve
this
matter.
Firstly
, it is clearly seen that increasing population leads to higher requirements for natural resources.
For example
, food demands are becoming a more and more severe need in many countries all over the world.
As a result
,
this
serious problem impacts human beings' health
due to
the inadequate supply.
Moreover
, the high demand for food
also
causes the overuse of land which degrades land quality and makes the pollution struggling to deal with.
Secondly
, accommodation should be a serious concern as well. In many places, many dwellers do not have a house to stay by virtue of the limited land fund. To illustrate, in developed countries, many high-rise buildings are constructed to solve the need,
however
, it is still not enough for all citizens.
On the other hand
, the order of secure houses is rising day by day in other underdeveloped countries because of natural disasters.
Nevertheless
, they are too poor to make the miracle happen so people in those nations are always living in dangerous situations. The emergency of overpopulation puts a strain on individuals and governments to find quick fixes. In my perspective, family planning is the first step authorities should focus on, methods of contraception and birth control should be widely educated to the public.
Then
, legal executives even have to impose laws to minimize the birth rate, if population education is not effective. These actions will have better results when each person seriously takes concern and cooperation and follows the government’s guidance.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
