Some people say that the best way to improve public health is by increasing the number of sports facilities. Others, however, say that this would have little effect on public health and that other measures are required. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

It is true that some feel that the increasing number of
sports
facilities
is the key to improving public
health
,
while
others oppose
this
view and believe that more effective solutions are required. In
this
essay, I will explain why I tend to agree with the latter. I concede that there are several reasons why increasing the number of
sports
facilities
can significantly improve residents’
health
and perhaps the most obvious one is people may well
exercise
more and build up their stamina. When there are more
sports
facilities
in their communities, they can access them effectively just by a walk, in turn encouraging them to do more
exercise
and preventing them from sedentary lifestyles. What
this
does is make it incredibly crucial.
For example
, my grandpa, who is 67, often goes to the park nearby with good
sports
facilities
, helping him attain a regular
exercise
regimen, and
this
ultimately means availabilities of
sports
facilities
make people’s life healthier.
However
, I believe other feasible and viable solutions should be implemented to maximize an individual’s level of
health
. The most compelling reason is that people usually lead

busy life in modern scenarios and have no time for exercising. If people do not have an awareness of the importance of
exercise
, they will probably not take part in exercises and indulge in work or other activities, and
this
invariably hampers their physical and mental
health
and is extremely detrimental.
As a result
, improving the awareness of individuals can be a more effective way to develop the
overall
health
level of society. In Guangzhou,
for instance
, the government has launched different campaigns to educate citizens on the benefits of
exercise
. As
such
, many residents start putting exercising as their priority in daily life, which is typically why the
overall
health
level in Guangzhou is higher than in other cities in China.
Overall
, I believe,
although
there are some benefits of increasing the
sports
facilities
to boost public
health
, other alternative solutions should be implemented to upgrade the efficiency.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
