Dear Sir or Madam, I am one of your loyal customers and I always take your
service
for my
car
. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with your
service
. A few days ago my
car
didn't burn parking lights. In fact, I didn't pay much attention to
this
issue until became dust on 13 December.
Moreover
, I took my
car
to your
service
on 14 December and your engineer promised to fix the problem in a day or two.
However
, your engineer hasn't been fixing my
car
yet. The first problem I am a driver. Unfortunately, I have only one
car
. I must go to work in my
car
. I would be grateful if your engineer fix my
car
faster. It seems to me that only one mechanic works in your
service
shop. If you employ
further
engineers, your
service
will be superb. I look forward to your reply and resolution to my problem. Yours faithfully Mr Farukh

task response
Make sure to address the problem clearly and directly. Provide specific details about the car issue and be assertive in what action you expect the mechanic to take.
coherence and cohesion
Organize the letter with clear paragraphs and maintain logical progression of ideas. Also, ensure a proper greeting and closing for your letter.

Structure your letter

A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:

  • A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
  • The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
  • A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)

When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.

All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
