, when it is closely scrutinized, heating was used the most in terms of energy usage. On the other hand
, water heating was the most significant contributor to releasing greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Cooling makes up the smallest part of both charts.
In the first case, heating accounts for the largest contribution, 42% of the total consumption. Water heating and cooling together make up around one-third of the usage. Moreover
, refrigeration, lighting, and other appliances use roughly one-quarter.
In the second scenario, water heating was the largest significant source of greenhouse gas production, comprising almost a third of the total production. The second largest amount of gas generation comes from other appliances, at 28% of the total. Surprisingly, heating is only responsible for 15% of total emissions, and this
