The line graph illustrates the usage of various types of meat in a country in Europe from 1979 to 2004
Overall
, the consumption of chicken grew significantly,
while
that of beef and lamb decreased dramatically over the years. The amount of fish which is used by a person in a week did not change a lot.
Firstly
, beef was eaten more at the beginning of the period with over two hundred
grams
. Around 1894, it peaked at roughly 250
grams
.
However
,
as a result
of a fluctuation, the number dropped to around a hundred
grams
in 2004.
Likewise
, people ate lamb nearly 150
grams
a week in 1979 and
this
was its peak point. Over time the figure went down and stopped above 50
at the end
of the given period.
Although
chicken was not the most consumed kind of meat
first,
people used more and more chicken as the years passed. The number was just under 150 in 1979, but it soared to over 250 in the final year.
