every year several languages die out .some people think that is not important because life will be easier if there are fewer languages in the world. ti what extent do you agree or dissagree with this opinion?

.Across the globe, a rich tapestry of
languages
has developed, shaped by geography and
culture
. It's evident,
however
, that the number of
languages
is steadily diminishing. Some argue that
such
a trend is inconsequential, positing that it simplifies communication. I firmly disagree with
this
viewpoint because the erosion of
languages
results in the loss of
culture
, diversity, and knowledge. My reasons for opposing
this
notion are elaborated upon in the following paragraphs.
Firstly
, diverse
languages
foster unique expressions of
culture
, arts, music, and literature. The disappearance of linguistic diversity leads to the extinction of distinct facets related to various domains.
For instance
, certain
languages
have specific scripts dedicated to describing medicinal plants indigenous to their regions. With the decline of these linguistic mediums, valuable information passed down through generations is lost.
Secondly
, not all individuals in certain societies can readily adapt to new systems, which can detrimentally impact the utilization of their intellectual capabilities. To illustrate
this
, consider an exceptionally intelligent individual from a Chinese-speaking region who,
while
proficient in various subjects, struggles with language. If the Chinese language were to vanish,
this
person would face difficulties communicating their intellectual prowess accurately, potentially leading to unproductive outcomes. In conclusion, linguistic diversity not only enriches
culture
but
also
enhances our collective knowledge.
Therefore
, it is a global responsibility to vigilantly and earnestly protect all
languages
.

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 250 words in writing task 2. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long essay will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 260 to 290 words in writing task 2. This will ensure a concise essay and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 40 minutes to write the essay and you need around 10 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long essay in 30 minutes.
