The table details the international tourist arrivals in millions in 8 countries in 2009 and 2010 and the changes (in percentages)

The given table gives information about the number of foreign tourists visiting 8
countries
(measured in millions) in the years 2009 and 2010
as well as
the proportion of the
changes
(in percentages).
Overall
, it can be clearly seen that most of the mentioned nations witnessed a considerable increase in the rate of international visitors. Particularly, France received the highest figure. In terms of
changes
, Germany was the lead in
this
category.
However
, the opposite trend was true in Hong Kong. From the table,
countries
with small percentages of
changes
included developed nations: France, the USA, the UK, and Spain.
In particular
, France had no
changes
since there were 76
million
tourists recorded in both given years. In 2009, the USA welcomed 66
million
, and the UK and Spain both had 55
million
visitors. Next year, these
countries
only gained around 1-2
million
more. Albeit the rise, the rate of change was all below 4%.
In contrast
, the larger proportion of
changes
was in Germany, China, and Turkey. These
countries
started off with only 10, 22 and 32
million
visitors respectively, which was far lower compared to the aforementioned
countries
.
However
, the figure for these nations almost doubled in the year after.
This
led to big
changes
in proportion (109% for Germany, 55% for China and 33% for Turkey). Hong Kong was the only country that followed the opposite pattern as the data dropped from 10
million
in 2009 to 9
million
in 2010 registering an 11% decline.
