The diagram below shows the life cycle of a species of large fish called salmon
The diagram below depicts the cycle of life of the salmon fish.
Overall
it can be seen that these species pass away in three periods since they were born until become mature enough to return to the stream and lay eggs. their life cycle consists of four stages:eggs, fry, smolt and adult. While
the first three stages occur in freshwater the last
one takes place in saline water.
at the first steps, Salamon eggs are laid among small stones at the base of the reeds in the upper part of a river where the current is slow.after approximately 5 to 6 months fry flows quickly toward the lower river when they reach about 10 cm. The fry swims to the lower part of the river. after growing and feeding there for about 4 years they reached 12 cm.
they then
head to the ocean where they grow into adult salmon which average 70 to 76 centimetres long they spend about five years thereafter
and they immigrate upstream to their birthplace to spawn and the entire journey is repeated all over again.Submitted by rezasepas1367 on
