Illiteracy continues to be a concern for many countries in the world today. What are the causes of illiteracy in the modern world and what effects does it have on the people concerned and society as a whole?

Nowadays some
people
 prefer or are obliged not to continue their education or to be illiterate which can have tremendous effects on
society
 and themselves. There seem to be two main causes for illiteracy, and a number of effects, which we will discuss here. Possibly the main cause is the increased volume of inflation and economic recession. Many

 do not have the ability to meet daily requirements and they prefer working
instead
 of continuing their higher education. A

 well-known cause is school expenses that

 can not afford to pay tuition. In some countries, governments have not provided a free education system for citizens and it leads to a huge challenge for the poverty-line community to send their children to school which leads to a rooted illiteracy in the

 can especially be damaging for children and adults because it harms their talents which could grow in the educational environment. A
