Many people think it is very important to protect environment but they make no effort to do it themselves. Why does it happen? What actions should individuals take to protect the environment?
Global warming has consistently been a pressing issue in recent decades.
While
many people recognize the problem, only a few of us actively contribute to improving the situation. In my opinion, every individual should play a role in environmental protection to ensure a sustainable future for the next generation.
To begin
, despite significant efforts
by governments and environmentalists to motivate the public to take action on environmental protection, the results have been limited. Global warming continues to worsen, and wildlife habitats remain under threat. The primary reason for the lack of widespread involvement may be attributed to the perceived limited effectiveness. It can be challenging to see immediate, tangible results from our environmental efforts
. Some argue that the participation of large corporations and factories is more critical than that of individuals, while
others believe that there is little we can do to change the situation. However
, even though we acknowledge that industrial activities can exacerbate environmental challenges such
as air pollution and sewage release, the cumulative efforts
of each individual can yield substantial benefits.
There are various steps that individuals can take, which can collectively lead to a positive impact over time. We can start with small changes such
as using public transportation or choosing to ride a bicycle instead
of driving a car. These actions are not only environmentally friendly but also
beneficial for our health. Another important action is to reduce meat consumption. While
this
may seem somewhat unrelated, the emissions generated by livestock contribute significantly to air pollution, which can harm the ozone layer.
In conclusion, even small individual efforts
are of utmost importance and can have a positive and lasting effect on our environment over time.Submitted by jessieiniar1202 on
