The bar chart shows the reduction in traffic accidents in Bridgewater following the introduction of extra lanes on busy roads
The bar chart compares the number of accidents per kilometre after new lanes were added in five Chaos motorways and before it. Basically, the extended lanes make incident
cases
smaller in all of the motorways, M1, M2, M3, M4, and M5.
First of all, the numbers in M1 were significantly dropped, even more than half of the previous cases
, which went from thirteen to only five cases
. The expanded lanes in the second motorway, M2, also
showed improvement even though it didn't fare much better where the decline was only two cases
from seventeen cases
previously. Then
, in the M3 the total cases
plunged to exactly half of the accidents. To the next motorway, M4 considerably decreased the number of accidents by more than 70%, starting from seven cases
and fell five cases

motorway, M5, became the highest number of differences, with seventeen cases
plummeting into seven cases
