witnessed a steady growth,

of two other sites experienced different trends over the given period. People opting to go to the
mountains
increased significantly before declining in the final

those going to the coast dropped slightly in the beginning before facing an upward trend to the end of the period. In 1987, international tourists stopped by the
lakes
and those who came to the
mountains
were around 10,000 and 20,000 respectively. The visitors to
lakes
rose sharply for a decade, reaching 40,000 in 1997, surpassing those who visited the
mountains
in the same
year
at 30,000. The
number
of people visiting the
lakes
soared dramatically from 1997 to 2002 and reached its highest level at approximately 75,000 before it plunged to 50,000. In the meantime, those who visited the
mountains
increased steadily throughout the years and peaked in 2007 or the final

of tourists going to the coast, it started off at 40,000 in 1987 and dipped to around 35,000 in 1992. Starting from 1992, the
