The given pie charts illustrate the different household expenditures in the UK and New Zealand in the years 1980 and 2008.

of the time, the UK experienced more money spent on leisure activities
while
New Zealand slightly dropped. Both countries' expenses on utility bills and other expenses have increased as well. In the UK, the highest portion of expenditures are accounted for bills and leisure activities, at 26% and 27% in 1980 and it slightly increased to 28% and 34% in 2008.

, food and drink expenses were significantly reduced to 13% in 2008 and it was 23% in the previous year but money for transport was only reduced by 1%
