The diagram below shows the floor plan of a public library 20 years ago and how it looks now.
The map illustrates the changes in the design of the central library 20 years ago and today. It is noticeable from the map that in the past library had a room on the top left side for CDs, videos and computer games but in the current design,
this
space has been allocated to storytelling events and children's fiction books, so the computer related stuff have been moved to the bottom left corner. There are still various fiction and non-fiction books for children and adults,
although
the placements have been changed. In the old design, there was an area dedicated to reading newspapers and magazines,
while
now it has been removed and
instead
a Cafe at the right corner of the entrance can be seen which was previously occupied by an enquiry desk.
Overall
, many changes have been applied during the 20 years to the library which includes removing two rounded tables and some chairs from the central part and adding sofas to the related rooms.
