Food, housing, and leisure took up the biggest proportion of the weekly family expenses in both 1968 and 2018. Similar to that, those categories also
experienced the most significant change of more than 10% between 1968 and 2018. It can be observed further
that the weekly food expense underwent the biggest decrease out of all groups, from 35% in 1968 to just over 15% in 2018. On the contrary
, the most notable increase in weekly spending was observed in the leisure group, accounting for more than a 10% rise in 2018.
