The table gives information about enrollment of students in Manchester University in 1937, 1963 and 2017.
The table represents five registration data of Manchester University admission in 1937, 1963, and 2017. Looking from an
overall
perspective, it is readily apparent that the number of new enlistments increased throughout the years,
along with
the amount of international students.
This
was entirely different from the proportion of nearby admissions. It can be seen that in 1937, there were 327 fresh-year admissions, 45% of whom were females and the rest were males. It should be noted that more than half of the enlistment lived near Manchester and only 6% of them were foreign students from 4 countries. During the period of 1967, the total of registered apprentices jumped roughly fourfold from the previous period (1133 freshmen), which was dominated by men with 65% and 35% by women. The portion of nearby learners dropped to 15%,
while
the overseas learners had a slight improvement to 7%. For the
last
term, 2017, the quantity of new recruitment continued to grow and reached almost six times compared to 1967 (6254 recruitment).
This
time was the first period that women dominated the enrollment with 55%. Another interesting point is that only 1% to 2% of the students lived close to Manchester,
this
fact was enhanced by the percentage of overseas learners, booming to 32% from 102 countries.
