You have just moved into a new home and are planning to hold a party. You are worried that the noise may disturb your neighbour. Write a letter to your neighbour. In your letter introduce yourself describe your plans for the party invite your neighbour to come
Dear Neighbour,
Hope you are doing well,
this
is Srinivas Varma, I'm
the new tenant next door. Me, my wife and my 2 children are staying in here. I'm
writing this
letter, to inform you about the party
I want to host, I'm
worried about the noise that might disturb you, and need your permission for the party
.
I'm
planning to host the party
this
weekend. However
, there won't be a lot of people who are invited to the party
. Firstly
, we are thinking of starting the fun with a cake, then
we start a movie and finish off with some good food and some drinks.
Secondly
, I want to invite you to the celebration, as a next-door neighbour it is always a good opportunity to greet and spend some time with you, I also
want to introduce my kids to you they are very energetic and enthusiastic, always feel happy to meet new people. Looking forward to meet and greet you.
Yours Truly,
Srinivas VarmaSubmitted by varmaib1 on

Greeting and Closing
Ensure your letter opens with a more direct greeting to make it personable. For example, 'Dear Neighbor' could be replaced with 'Dear [Neighbor's Name], if known, to add a personal touch.
Coherence and Cohesion
Try to organize your ideas more clearly into paragraphs that focus on a single topic each, making your writing more coherent and easier to follow.
Task Achievement
For a stronger task response, more specific details about the party (time, specific expectations from the neighbor) could strengthen your letter's purpose and make your invitation more meaningful.
Suitable Writing Tone
Introduce yourself more formally at the beginning and include a concluding sentence that reiterates the invitation and thanks the neighbour for considering the request.
The Closing
The style of the letter determine how you have to close it.
Check out the suggested closing sentences for each type of letter in the General IELTS Test. The closing sentence should be the last sentence of your letter.
