TASK 1: The maps below show the present building of a college and plan for changes to the college site in the future. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The left map illustrates the college as it is currently, and the right one presents how it will be after redevelopment in 2020.
Overall
, the key points to note are that although
there will be many changes, particularly concerning the outside facility and indoor building, substantial parts of the college will not change at all, the future layout will be a combination of the new and the old.
Looking at the alterations in more detail, we can see that the original footpath and garden in the north of the present area will be demolished and replaced by new facilities such
as a car park on the west side. Furthermore
, there will be new developments inside the main building. The main entrance will be transferred to the south side facing the main road and a new shop will be opened in the western-north corner , which was the lunch area previously. The number of classrooms will be increased from 3 to 5, and four of them will be placed along the east side of the wall. Thus
, the library will be relocated to the western-south corner. Likewise
, the reception and toilet will also
be transferred to a new location.
However
, several parts of the old university will remain the same. These include the main road and bus stop to the south of the plan, and the car park area- despite its enlargement.Submitted by fiona_19910501 on
