It is not necessary for people to travel to other places to learn about the culture. We can learn as much as from books, films and the internet. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is of the opinion that
instead
of travelling to different parts of the world to learn about the
culture
, people can gain
this
knowledge from
books
, movies and the Internet. Personally, I disagree with
this
statement.
While
I admit that these channels are informative, they cannot provide individuals with the latest information and practical
experiences
. In
this
essay, my justifications will be explained in detail.
Firstly
, travel allows visitors to engage with the
culture
on a sensory level, providing them with firsthand
experiences
of sights, sounds, tastes and smells that cannot be conveyed through
books
and screens. To illustrate, tasting authentic local cuisine, witnessing traditional ceremonies and exploring historic sites help travellers understand the
culture
's customs, traditions and values of destinations.
Secondly
, travelling fosters meaningful interactions and connections with local people, bringing opportunities to learn from their perspectives, stories and lived
experiences
. These interpersonal exchanges can challenge stereotypes, broaden one's worldview and promote empathy about global diversity. On top of that, adventure trips encourage personal growth and self-discovery by pushing individuals out of their comfort zones and exposing them to new environments and lifestyles that might be different from theirs.
However
, it is important to acknowledge that not everyone has the means and chances to visit all corners of the globe to experience
due to
limited time and finances. Under
such
circumstances,
books
, films and the Internet can serve as valuable resources to learn about the
culture
. These channels provide access to diverse perspectives, historical contexts and cultural insights that may inspire
further
exploration. In conclusion,
although
books
, films and the Internet offer valuable avenues for people to acquire necessary knowledge the cultural values worldwide, they cannot fully replace the immersive and transformative
experiences
that come with journeys. Travel provides opportunities for sensory engagement, cultural exchange and personal growth, making it an indispensable tool for broadening one's horizons and promoting global understanding and interconnectedness.
