When choosing a job, salary is the most important decision. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

✨ Do you want to improve your IELTS writing?
One school of thought holds that salary stands as the paramount consideration when selecting a
job
.
While
I accept that
this
perception is somewhat justifiable, I believe that all the factors
also
contribute to
overall
career
satisfaction. On the one hand, salary serves as a fundamental aspect, influencing
career
decisions because it is crucial for each applicant to have a good standard of living . Being offered a higher income could allow employees to meet basic needs
such
as housing, healthcare education, or even go on luxury holidays, which could emphasize the correlation between higher incomes and improved living standards.
In addition
, one of the best motivations is competitive earnings.
For instance
, offering a high-paying
career
means the comedy recognizes their value and is willing to invest in them which would motivate them to work harder to exceed their performance levels.
On the other hand
, there are other important considerations to start and continue a
career
.
Job
satisfaction,
for instance
, a person earning less will be happier than a person having a high-paid
job
but going through extreme stress and pressure at the workplace. Another reason is that
job
flexibility is increasingly valued by individuals seeking work-life balance.
For example
, a
job
that allows employees to manage their work schedules, which could help individuals to better manage family responsibilities, and pursue personal interests. In conclusion,
while
it is irrefutable that a high payment plays a crucial role in the choice of occupation, I would contend that applicants should consider other factors before making
this
decision.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
