There are four stages undertaken in order to label shellfish
to ensure that they are in the correct condition to enter worldwide marketing. These steps include monitoring, labelling, processing, and eventually transportation to various locations on different continents.
In the first stage, the artisanal fishing boats in which there are GPS devices are located and tracked by the satellite automatically, and then
the data is sent to Santiago to be monitored and checked. Following the monitoring step, the shellfish
are caught so that barcode labels can be generated, considering it as certification for devices.
In the third stage, they are entered into the processing procedure, and for
this
reason, they are brought in processing plants. Having been certified and processed, the shellfish
