The table indicates information on people's expenditure on three different items in Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden, and Turkey in 2002.
Overall
, it is obvious that the five countries spent mostly on Food/Drink/Tobacco,
by contrast
, leisure/education was spent the least compared to the other two categories. As the table demonstrates, spending on food/tobacco/drink was the highest in Turkey, approximately 32.14%,
while
the Swedish spent just only 15.77% as the lowest spender in
this
sector. With regrading to clothing/footwear, Italians spent 9% which was the highest figure among the five countries.
Furthermore
, the statistics for Turkey, Spain, and Ireland were relatively identical.
However
, Sweden's figure was the lowest, with only 5.40%. Compared to leisure/education, Turkish made up 4.35% of
this
segment.
On the contrary
, the rates of Ireland, Italy and Sweden are similar, with 3.20% and 3.22% respectively. More interestingly, Spain spent only 1.98% on the category which was the lowest figure.
