Online films streaming has become the latest entertainment option for people, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic that happened two years earlier. What is the cause for this phenomenon? Will online films streaming outweigh the popularity of going directly to a cinema?

During the Covid-19 online film streaming and TV platforms became really popular. Now that the pandemic is over, some people still prefer watching a film or a series at home.
In contrast
, there are those who rather go to the
cinema
to watch the latest
films
. In
this
essay, I am going to discuss both options
,
Remove the comma
apply
show examples
and explain why I believe that certain
films
must be watched in the
cinema
to be able to experience all the emotions. Online streaming services have a huge variety of
films
and series available to watch at any time of the day from your own sofa. The monthly cost is just about £10, and
this
gives you access to most of their offer.
This
is an affordable price and has helped them become really popular. There is a survey published by the University of London, that illustrates that over 80% of the population in London are members of one or more streaming companies. There are those who argue that Netflix will eventually replace the
cinema
in the future.
In contrast
, the
cinema
is fighting to still be attractive for the young generations.
Also
, cinematograph companies and directors are creating sci-fi and action
films
that must be watched in the
cinema
to be able to enjoy the whole experience. In my opinion,
cinema
is a type of art and entertainment, and nothing can change the feeling you have when sitting in the projection room and the lights are turned off and you become part of the film and you are allowed to experience all types of emotions. In conclusion, the Covid-19 pandemic made us change habits and online streaming platforms gave us the option of watching
films
and series, when we could not leave our houses. In my opinion, these services are great, and they have a large offer.
However
, I strongly believe that the
cinema
is an art, and
this
cannot be replaced.
Cinema
will not be forgotten and will always have a space in our society.
