The bar chart below shows estimated world illiteracy rates by region and by gender for the last year.
The given bar chart compares the percentage of people who did not have the ability to read through sex and different places in the previous year.
From an
overall
perspective, it can be seen that South Asians had the highest illiteracy estimate in the world. Additionally
, the female illiteracy percentage was always higher than the male standard.
As can be seen obviously from the chart, developed countries, Latin America and East Asia were all the places that contained a very minimal amount of illiterate people. Regarding developed countries, the illiterate male and female were about 2% and 3%, respectively. In reference to the Carribean, these figures were approximately 10% for males and 12% for females. According to
Oceania, around 8% and 20% of males and females are not able to read, individually.
Turning to the remaining statistics, Sub-Saharan Africa, Arab States and South Asia possessed the majority of the illiteracy. The illiterate male standard in these three places was approximately 31%, 29% and 34%, correspondingly whereas
these rates in males were much higher with about 48%, 52% and 55%, respectively.Submitted by [email protected] on
