Your local hospital has advertised for people to do unpaid work helping at the hospitsal. You would like to do some work at the hospital in your free time. Write a letter to the hospital. In your letter -explain why you would like to do unpaid work at the hospital -say what type of unpaid work you would be able to do -give details of when you would be available for this work

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing a letter to inform you that I would like to provide a helping hand in the hospital's unpaid work as I am very passionate towards it. I saw your advertisement in a newspaper and got excited about it. When I shared it with my parents they immediately allowed me to work for
this
community service. It has been running in our family for ages to help with unpaid services and I am too willing to do
this
. I used to help in the hospitals, and schools during my summer vacation. I have good experience in taking care of different age-group patients. I know that we have to be kind and compassionate towards them. I am good at socialising when it comes to dealing with a number of people. So, I think I can take on administrative work
also
. Nowadays, I am studying in a college for my higher studies. I am free at weekends. I believe you can have me on weekends
that is
Saturdays and Sundays. Feel free to contact me in any of the community services as I am always ready to help. I hope we shall meet soon. Thank you very much. Yours Sincerely, Kulbeer Kaur

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
